📌 General Event Knowledge Understand what the Paw Parade is — a family-friendly, dog-themed outdoor event featuring a parade, costume/category contests, market stalls, and activities for dogs and owners. Identify event nature & audience: free to attend, open to all ages, pet-friendly, and designed for dog lovers and families. 📋 Registration & Entry Rules Know registration details: one registration = one dog in one category; may enter up to 2 categories. Be aware of deadline & capacity: registration closes 5 PM, 20 September, or earlier if sold out. Recognize registration benefit: each registered dog receives a special gift. 🏆 Contest Categories & Awards Name and describe the four prize categories: Best flower-inspired outfit Little paws (children 12 & under + their dog) Pet and owner lookalikes Senior sweetheart (dogs aged 9 years and older) 🦺 Safety & Pet Etiquette Learn the key rule: all dogs must be kept on a leash at all times. Understand responsibility — owners are expected to manage their pets appropriately in a public setting. 📍 Venue, Facilities & Accessibility Recognize event setup: outdoors on grass at Queens Park. Identify available amenities: seating, food (for humans and dogs), street parking, on-site toilets, and accessible bathrooms nearby. Note practical considerations — plan accordingly for an outdoor, grass-surface environment. ✅ Planning & Decision-Making Skills Compare attending vs. registering: free spectator entry vs. paid/registered contest entry.
