Science Time: Light at Questacon is an interactive early childhood STEM workshop where children aged 3–5 explore the science of light and shadows through hands-on investigation. Each session begins with a question that encourages children to observe, experiment and discover how light behaves. Children and their caregivers work together through activities, experiments and creative tasks to explore concepts such as shadows and coloured light. The program supports early scientific thinking, problem-solving, curiosity, communication and confidence while encouraging children to share their discoveries. Each session includes a demonstration and activity sheet to continue STEM learning at home.
