Science Time: Spring at Questacon is an interactive early childhood science workshop designed for children aged 3–5 and their caregivers. Through hands-on play, experiments and investigations, children explore what plants need to grow and discover how water moves through plants. Participants are encouraged to ask questions, observe changes, test ideas and share their discoveries. The session combines scientific exploration with creative activities and crafts to support early STEM learning, curiosity, problem-solving and confidence. Each workshop includes a demonstration and an activity sheet, allowing children and families to continue exploring science beyond the session.
Biology
Children develop early scientific thinking through hands-on investigation and play-based activities. They explore how plants grow, practise asking questions, making observations and sharing discoveries while building curiosity, problem-solving skills and confidence as young scientists.
