The Junior Ranger Program at Royal National Park, run by NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, offers an exciting, nature-based experience for children aged 6–12 during the school holidays. Led by professional park rangers and educators, the program is designed to spark curiosity about the natural world and build a deeper understanding of environmental conservation.

Kids get to explore the bush, spot native wildlife, play interactive games, and take part in creative activities like nature craft and storytelling. There are two themed sessions: “Creativity in Nature”, which focuses on expression and play, and “Ranger Skills”, which teaches real-life ranger tasks such as using a compass, identifying animal tracks, or learning about bushfire safety.

Set in the scenic surroundings of Audley Visitor Centre in Royal National Park (just south of Sydney), the program provides a safe, guided, and engaging outdoor adventure that blends fun with environmental education. It’s perfect for children who love nature, exploration, and learning new skills while making new friends.
