Protect, restore, and enhance our natural areas with NaturallyGC Landcare

Calling all young nature lovers! Junior Landcare is your chance to help care for the environment. Join the City of Gold Coast for a fun tree planting session and learn how to protect our planet.

A City officer will be on-site, with all materials supplied and holes pre-dug.

If you enjoy the outdoors, community action, and helping protect our natural environment, this event is for you.

No experience is necessary to join.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Under 16's to have guardian present and supervising
  • Best suited for ages 3 and above but all ages welcome
  • Outdoor event in a bushland environment
  • We do not accept bookings for more than 5 people. Contact us directly to discuss.

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION

Spaces are limited. You must register and secure a ticket for all volunteers attending. If you can't secure a spot you require at the time of registration please do not book. Each session is set to a maximum capacity.

Biology

By the end of the Junior Landcare Tree Planting event, participants will be able to: Learn basic tree-planting and environmental care practices. Understand the importance of trees and natural areas in protecting the environment. Develop a sense of environmental responsibility through hands-on conservation activities. Build teamwork and community participation skills by working together on a shared project. Develop appreciation and respect for nature through outdoor learning and activities. Gain confidence in taking positive action to help protect and restore the natural environment.
