AI Space Mission Holiday Camp introduces students to artificial intelligence through an immersive space-exploration challenge.

Working in small mission teams, participants discover how AI can support astronauts and space missions by learning how AI uses data, recognises patterns and makes predictions. They experiment with beginner-friendly coding and AI tools while completing practical mission challenges.

Participants also learn how to write effective prompts and guide generative AI to produce different results. Rather than simply using AI outputs, they are encouraged to examine them critically, identify possible errors and consider when human judgement is needed.

The camp combines space science, artificial intelligence, coding, creative design and collaborative problem-solving. Students work together to develop, test and present an imaginative AI-powered solution to their own space mission.

No previous experience with AI or coding is required. Activities are designed for students with different levels of experience and are supported by AI Camp educators.

Science

Students develop foundational AI and coding skills by analysing how AI uses data, writing effective prompts, evaluating AI-generated outputs, identifying potential errors and collaboratively designing and testing an AI-powered solution to a space mission challenge.
