Mega Maths Mania is a dynamic and engaging holiday workshop designed for teenagers aged 13–18 who want to strengthen their maths skills in a fun, confidence-building environment. Through hands-on challenges, puzzles, problem-solving activities and collaborative games, participants explore mathematical thinking beyond the classroom.
The program supports students to develop logical reasoning, resilience, and strategic thinking while applying maths to real-world situations. Whether students need a confidence boost, enjoy challenging problems, or want to see maths in a new and exciting way, Mega Maths Mania offers an inclusive and supportive space where learning feels motivating, social and empowering.
Mathematics
Stage 4 (Years 7–8) MA4-1WM – Communicates and connects mathematical ideas using appropriate terminology, diagrams and symbols. MA4-2WM – Applies appropriate mathematical techniques to solve problems. MA4-3WM – Recognises and explains mathematical relationships using reasoning. MA4-6NA – Solves problems involving fractions, decimals and percentages. Stage 5 (Years 9–10) MA5-1WM – Uses appropriate terminology, diagrams and symbols to communicate mathematical ideas. MA5-2WM – Selects and applies appropriate problem-solving strategies when undertaking investigations. MA5-3WM – Provides reasoning to support conclusions that are appropriate to the context. MA5-8NA – Solves problems involving percentages, ratios and rates. Stage 6 (Years 11–12) (Applicable to Mathematics Standard / Advanced pathways) MS11-1 / MA11-1 – Uses algebraic and graphical techniques to solve problems and model situations. MS11-2 / MA11-2 – Uses mathematical concepts and techniques to solve problems involving numerical relationships. MS11-5 / MA11-5 – Applies logical reasoning, mathematical language and notation to analyse and solve problems. MA12-2 – Applies concepts of mathematical modelling and problem solving to real-world situations.
