The Sydney Science Trail is a full-day, hands-on STEM learning experience designed especially for homeschoolers and diverse learners, held across the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney and the Australian Museum. Running in Term 3 from 11–13 August 2025, the program includes four 60-minute sessions: a science expo, a STEM workshop, a live science show or scientist panel, and self-guided exploration. It’s aligned with the NSW curriculum and tailored for Years 3–11, with primary students attending on 11–12 August and secondary students on 13 August. The day runs from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, with students rotating between venues and activities. The cost is just $25 per student, with supervising adults attending free. With smaller group sizes, flexible pacing, and a strong focus on science, sustainability, and First Nations perspectives, this event offers a rich, engaging learning experience for homeschooling families.
